Background of Organisation

Independent charity committed to providing conservation advice to farmers and landowners. Established in late 60's, early 70's. Now has staff covering all of England, Wales and Scotland. County based structure within government region and with headquarters at national agriculture centre in Stoneleigh.

Organisational Objectives

The Groups aims to : Provide conservation advice to landowners; Liase with (project) partners - statutory agencies, NGO's, local authorities; facilitate and guide land changing and land management to deliver conservation gain at low cost and implement government policy and influence and guide policy development.

Relevant Policies, Projects & Activities

FWAG is involved in Severn & Avon Wales Wetland Partnership. Over 2,000 contacts in Gloucestershire (South Wales). Partner in Stroud Project Biodiversity Project.
