National Association of Boat Owners (NABO)

Background of Organisation

Formed in 1991 to represent the owners of boats using the inland waterway system of the UK. Represent over 5000 used of pleasure craft including river and sea going boats.

Organisational Objectives

To represent owner of pleasure craft on inland waterways. To participate in local and national consultation with navigation authorities. Involvement in user groups.

Relevant Policies, Projects & Activities

NABO publishes guidance notes for members including pilotage notes for Severn Estuary to assist craft, making the passage between Sharpness and Bristol.
