The Council is responsible for the drafting and consideration of the following plans :

• Joint Replacement Structure Plan
• North Somerset Local Plan
• First Deposit Replacement Local Plan
• North Somerset Waste Local Plan
• North Somerset Local Transport Plan
• Mineral Working in Avon Local Plan

Other relevant project include Weston Vision which looks at the future of Weston-Super-Mare over 20-30 years and Civic Pride, a Bid to Rural Development Agency for the regeneration of Weston-Super-Mare town centre and sea front.
