SEVERN ESTUARY FORUM 2014

Our Estuary: Challenges and Opportunities

Tuesday 16th September 2014
Julian Hodge Building, Cardiff University, Cardiff

The Severn Estuary Partnership is pleased to announce that this year’s extremely successful event was the biggest one so far. It was opened by Councillor Bob Derbyshire of Cardiff Council and supported by CIWEM. It focussed on four diverse session topics, including Climate Change, Estuary Planning, Energy Generation, and Local Issues, with a total of 14 speakers and five chairs. Over 150 delegates attended the forum and 16 different companies presented displays, and it was kindly sponsored by Associated British Ports (ABP), British Marine Aggregate Producers Association (BMAPA), Cardiff University and MarineSpace.

The Severn Estuary Forum is a key annual event in its ninth year hosted by the Severn Estuary Partnership: an independent, estuary-wide initiative, involving all those interested in the management of the estuary, from planners to port authorities, fishermen to farmers.

These engaging events are intended for all interested in learning about the latest research and policy developments involving the Severn Estuary and its future. They guarantee a lively and informative day of presentations and talks. For further information on the forum, a conference report has been published:
