Severn Estuary ResearchThe Severn Estuary Partnership are currently researching a scoping study collating information on research being undertaken, or recently completed, relating to the Severn Estuary. We aim to design a research pro-forma that can be completed electronically, and all information received will be stored within a database and be available on this web site. Should you have any information prior to this, please contact [email protected] The Partnership recently commissioned research to assess the perceived awareness of the SEP by identifiable stakeholder groups on the estuary. The report also looks at the perceived 'value' of the SES to stakeholders. It is hoped that this work will be used to ensure that the future work of the SES fulfils expectations of those who manage and use the Estuary wherever practicable. The SES Awareness report may be downloaded either in summary or in full as a word document or in abode acrobat pdf format. Moreover, current doctoral research at Cardiff University studies the Partnership in the context of coastal governance, and in particular management and conservation. The research aims to identify and assess current overlapping coastal management and conservation practices , which may implement or influence coastal policy, in the Severn Estuary Area, one of the project's case study areas. The project aims to make recommendations for beneficial integrated management and conservation in practice based on current observations and comparisons .
