Background of Organisation
Established in 1975. SLFC is a well established fishing club with a membership of 80, affiliated to the Welsh Federation of Sea Anglers. It receives a grant yearly from the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Organisational Objectives
Since founding, the club has been at the forefront of catch and release and many other clubs have followed its lead to keep abreast of all that is going on and what is planned for our Estuary.
Relevant Policies, Projects & Activities
A yearly competition, is held at the Barry Dock Waterfront in aid of the Latch Children's Charity.
A beach clean up is also held. Moreover, the club has in the past arranged an informative session with an oceanographer with an aim of educating its member on what goes on in our estuary.
