The Severn Estuary Partnership is pleased to welcome Jim Mitchell who joined the SEP team as Coastal Access and Interpretation Officer in January 2004. Jim's post has been made available by the successful funding obtained by the Interreg IIIb bid and he is responsible for implementing the project to work towards sustanable coastal access for the estuary.
Prior to joining SEP, Jim worked for the Forestry Commission involved in Recreation and Education. He has also worked for the Vale of Glamorgan Council and did a stint on Flatholm Island as Assistant Warden.
‘I am looking forward to the prospect of working with SEP in delivering the Access and Interpretation strand of the Coastatlantic bid. These are exciting times for the Partnership and this project will help users to access the Severn in a safe and sustainable way".
