Managing Tidal Change - Fellowship Report

The SEP Officer, Natasha Barker, was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust fellowship on
'Managing Tidal Change' in 2006. She visited two other estuaries in the world with the highest
tidal ranges in Canada - the Bay of Fundy & Russia - Penzhinskaya Guba. The fellowship included
study of;
i) renewable energy options
ii) public awareness and marketing the tide for tourism
iii) flood risk planning.
